Central Alberta Economic Partnership 

Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP) is a Regional Economic Development Alliance.

Founded in 1998, CAEP is a model for collaborative community economic development. More than this, they demonstrate the advantages of engaging diverse communities and bringing together people with diverse interests to support one another for the greater benefit of the region and province.

Edmonton International Airport

Edmonton International Airport (EIA) is Canada’s fifth-busiest airport by passenger traffic and the largest major Canadian airport by land area (7,000 acres). EIA provides non-stop flights to 60 destinations across Canada, the US, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.

With a multi-modal cargo hub on-site, EIA is able to ship goods via truck between any location in Western Canada and the airport within 24 hours, greatly expediting the supply chain process with international air cargo destinations.

Currently, EIA is one of two Canadian airports that have been recognized as an emerging “Aerotropolis.” Pursuant to the airport’s mandate of driving economic prosperity for the region, EIA attracts development to its property that will create jobs, have an outward-radiating economic impact and promote the Greater Edmonton Region as an international destination.
