Kayakomat Hwy. 13

Rent SUP and kayaks in the hidden gem of central Alberta, Twin Lakes. For many years urban legend had it that it was bottomless. This unusual depth for an Alberta lake contributes to its clean pristine water and it is a popular destination for recreational paddlers, sunseekers, divers, and fisherman alike. This is a small lake where you are never far from shore and the water is usually calm. No motorboats are allowed which makes it great for any beginner paddler. Blackmore Shooting Sports

A shotgun sporting clay facility shooting range located off of highway 20, 9 km south of the hamlet of Winfield. Their course meanders through 35 acres of black spruce, mature tamaracks, cotton woods and poplar trees. The natural setting also looks over a small creek. Alberta Central Railway Museum

Alberta Central Railway Museum is a public museum dedicated to preserving, conserving and interpreting Canadian Pacific Railway artifacts and history prior to 1965. The County is home to several beautiful trail systems.  Such as the Pipestone Creek Conservation Land located east of Wetaskiwin https://www.ealt.ca/pipestone-creek, CPR Canyon Hiking trail also known as Chickadee Trail near Gwynne and multiple trials in the Pigeon Lake area.

Municipal Campgrounds

The County operates six overnight campgrounds, Battle Lake, Buck Lake, Twin Lakes, Coal Lake South, Mound Red and Red Deer Lake. The campgrounds are typically open from May until September of each year. There are also multiple day use areas as well as private and Provincially operated campgrounds.
